Odd Places for Gifts?

December 22nd, 2011 at 06:09 am

I was laughing with an old friend today about one year we bought virtually everyone's gifts at ---unbelievably--the liquor store. It was easy! Baileys for aunts and uncles, craft beer for lots of folks, nice wine for siblings, champagne for party types, interesting liquers for friends.

That kind of simple shopping is hard to find. Where else could a tired gal get so much done? A bookstore? Maybe a gourmet grocer?

I love giving the gift of alcohol Smile Several friends/family are getting bottles of wine from my wine tours this Christmas!

I think a bookstore would be a great one. I've often thought that very thing when browsing at Barnes and Noble. My sister did her Christmas shopping one year at Target. She moved that year and didn't have much time to be shopping lots of stores.

I did a lot of my shopping at the grocery store. They have a pretty surprising range of gifts. I got wine, candy, fancy cocoa and coffee, toys, gift cards. And I also got a lot at Goodwill. We'll see how those go over! (Even though none of it is junk, I'm a little worried. They know me too well.)

I wish I could say my shopping was so easy this year. To finish up yesterday, I went to eight different spots. Next year!
