Sick and Tired

February 8th, 2012 at 04:22 am

That title sounds worse than I am. It's just that this is about the fourth cold since Christmas. I'm tired of being sick. Nothing major--just yucky and drippy and all that.

Luckily my classes had a guest speaker today so I mostly sat and tried not to cough. half my students are ill as well. Because it's so cold, and because I feel so lousy, I paid for parking today. I intended to go home early, but students kept finding me.

So now off to bed with some Julian Barnes short stories.

Are you taking any Vitamin D3 and C at all? Getting sick was easy to do when I was spending all my time at university.

I swear by Echinacea; everytime I feel like I might be coming down with something, I start taking it. It always seems to stop anything in its tracks. Also, if you're congested, I love using a Neti pot. I tend to go the more natural route before taking meds. Hope u feel better.

Thank you all. I am taking C and D--and an airborne with all those megadoses. But the university and DD's school both seem to be cold incubators this year.

Feel better soon. Four colds in six weeks seems like one big long cold to me...

Ugh... our daughter's kindergarten is, in the words of Jerry Seinfeld, "a human bacteria frappe." Add that to the European cold spell and it leads to us battling various illnesses like crazy lately. I feel your pain. I hope you have some insurance that the Airborne will work! We can't get it over here, and I always seemed to have good luck with it. Feel better soon!
    Jerry
