Two More Drips

April 18th, 2015 at 02:58 am

I've sold two more things on the Kidscycle page today for $7. In a slightly larger drip, I've read a capstone project, reworked my syllabus, and am halfway through _Wild_ which I'm enjoying more than I thought I would.

About to start keeping track of my sales in the sidebar!

Have you read Unbroken yet? Or are you just needing a copy to mark up? (I borrowed Unbroken from a co-worker, otherwise I'd offer you a copy!)

Hi Laura: Not yet--just ordered from the library. It's next after I finish Wild. Did you like it?

For academics I have been reading lots of Thomas Merton and Dietrich Bonhoeffer.

For entertainment, I have been listening to Ruth Rendell mysteries.

Looking forward to reading fiction this summer. Will add Unbroken to the list.

I haven't read "Wild" but I enjoyed the movie.

Unbroken is a fantastic story! I think you'll really enjoy it.

@Deacon's Wife - Unbroken isn't fiction. It is the true story of a man who was an Olympic runner (I think, he won a race - it's been awhile since I read it) and became a POW during WW2. Courage, Determination, Overcoming odds, Forgiveness - all major themes.

I just finished _Wild_today, and while it's very much like the film, I do think it had more depth--although I did enjoy the film a lot. I'm also very pleased that I wrote the quiz and discussion question right after finishing!
