Tax Refund Arrives!

Our federal tax refund hit our account today! It's exciting news, though I'm not sure what we'll do with it yet other than stash it in the emergency fund.

Not that I don't have a long list of wants:
a new dresser
basement refinishing
car fund
fund roths completely
Central A/c
etc

But we'll sit on it a bit, and hope to figure out what's most important.

    Whoo-who!! It can be difficult where to put the funds...go with your gut!

    I always think you should buy yourself a little treat, even if the bulk of it is going somewhere boring.
    Maybe it'll fund Valentine's dinner?

    I always try to do some sort of split between the:

    1)PAST (debt? - mortgage?),
    2)PRESENT (fun &/or need), and
    3)FUTURE (savings or retirement).

    Lux: Our only debt is the mortgage, and it's at 4.75%. I pre-pay a little, and maybe a should prepay a little more. But a big chunk is going into car fund and retirement--as well as Valentine's day. I like your system!
