cereal killer

January 23rd, 2008 at 11:27 pm

I'm as happy as can be today because of my cereal bargains. The grocers had a deal on General Mills cereal: buy 6 and get $10 off. I had coupons on all of them, and if you bought all 6, you got milk vouchers worth over $7.
Total spending on 6 boxes? $1.50.

Now why this makes me so pleased is work for a psychologist, but it does. That and the 27 cents found on the ground today. It's very funny, but it feels like some kind of triumph when all you hear is economic horror stories on the news.

Now if Ben Bernanke could perform this sort of feat at the Fed, just think where we'd be....

That's funny, I'm sure it would please a psychologist to figure that out, but in the meantime. I think it's great too! Wow! You did good!

I was a cereal killer once for halloween. Had cereal boxes taped to me with plastic knives sticking out of them. Your heading reminded me of that.

I love running into deals like that! I was a kid and fell into the trap of needing that "box". I know now, since I have to pay for it, that the bag stuff is the same, sometimes better. For instance, my family loves Lucky Charms. Do you know how much it costs for a small box of that teeth killer? $3.50 for a small one.
The bag of store brand, more than twice as much, for about $2.75. My children won't be those who are picky and want things just because of the wrapper, or that's what everyone else has.
