New Ideas?

I think I'm pretty good about watching what I spend, and trying to increase what I earn. But I'd like to try some new ideas.
I'm setting aside an hour tomorrow morning to brainstorm and think of things I need to do, including saving and spending ideas, before the summer break hits and I just feel like flopping on the couch and reading all day.

If anybody has great ideas, I'd love to hear them.

    Better Homes and Gardens magazine just had an article on combined savings from little things (probably nothing new to you though), I'll go and try to find a link--

    I think the article I remember is too current to be in their website, but here is a link to recent money saving tips in the magazine (but there are pop ups that pester you):

    One thing I have found is not to start another project until I finish up the projects I have already. For instance, I had the paint to finish a sideboard and the paint to re-paint my wrought iron patio set, so before I start another painting project and go out and buy more paint, I will use up what I have. I also have some drywal taping and mudding to do (which I have been procrastinating about) but will get that done before I buy the paint to paint those walls. So, I am trying to use up what I have on hand. We also took down two extremely large trees last fall and now I have to redo some of my gardens. I do have most all the landscaping items for that project sitting in piles. It is always good to make a list. I made a list of what needed to be done with what I have bought or is laying around before I make a list of things I want done around my house that would consist of items I would need to buy. I am hoping that when I use up what I have, I will actually save myself money by not needing to do some things that I think may need to be done. Hope all of this makes sense.
