Garage Cleaning

August 7th, 2008 at 07:42 pm

Aren't those two words that just set your souls aflame? Yeah, me too.
But since DH is in England, I decided to do a little surprise for him. And we're so sad that he'd probably get more excited about a clean garage than almost (ahem, almost) anything else.
I freecycled some more of DD's clothes today, and have filled two garbage cans with all sorts of junk from the garage. I broke down and bought one of those Rubbermaid tool organizers which is pretty ok.
Another hour and I'll be done.

On a less happy note, my adjunct job "forgot" to submit my earnings total for last month, so I have to wait another very broke month until they pay me. Grrrr

In 2005, between Katrina and Rita, Hubby was helping DD with getting ready for fall classes, and I was home by myself and decided one night (cooler) to clean out the garage in case of a storm in our area. Believe me, it was FULL! I worked for hours, finally getting it all done. Then, I put my car in there and waited. When, Hubby returned home a couple of days later, he thought I wasn't home. Couldn't figure out where the car was. Absolutely, couldn't believe it was in the garage. (The other half is a workshop.) Then, Rita came, and my car rode it out in the garage. Believe me, it feels good to have a clean garage! Your DH will be so tickled that you did that for him!

Oh, I can feel a garage cleaning coming upon me. There is nothing greater than walking into a garage and knowing where everything is.

Your hubby is going to be so pleased.
