Stuffing, Stuff, and Stuffed Up

January 10th, 2013 at 08:56 pm

That's about the size of it! Lots of stuff to do including scanning class materials for London, organizing and planning those classes. Lots of stuff stuffed in the suitcase. We broke down and bought a new suitcase. Our old ones were showing the signs of lots of traveling. I bought an ultra lightweight hard case. I hope it survives ok. Plus I'm stuffed up, as I've been fighting (really fighting) a cold since Saturday. It doesn't feel like a cold; it feels like the flu, but I had a flu shot? No signs of it in DH or DD thankfully. This morning I got DD off to school, sat in the family room chair and fell asleep for two hours. I felt horrible when I got up, but a cup of coffee, a piece of toast, and three ibuprofen seem to have made a dent in it.

Massive lists and lists of lists everywhere here.

I hope it isn't the flu! Definitely get as much sleep as you can. Ask for help from friends and family if you need it. Feel better soon.

Take 50,000 IU of Vitamin D3. Seriously. If you're coming down with something that megadose will not be toxic to you. (100,000 IU Vitamin d3 taken regularly WILL be toxic.)

You're the second person I know in less than 24 hours who's reported having had a flu shot but felt ill anyway.

Sorry, meant to add, take 50000 IU of Vitamin D3 as a one-time occurrence.

Aw, I hope you feel better! Not an ideal time to be runned down. (boy, that doesn't look right grammatically!) DH is under the weather in a major way and after I pick my girls up from dance, I have to go CVS and spend some ECB on adult cold medication! How are the plans looking for the UK? We're thinking about hosting a foreign exchange student in the fall, though I'm wonder how it will be going form one to three high school students under one roof!?

Sorry you're not feeling well. Hope it turns around soon.
