NS Day

January 30th, 2020 at 11:24 pm

Another in a series of NS days. A few of my students told me today they often spend $7-10 on lunch at school. Frankly, I was a bit amazed and pulled my homemade salad in plastic ware out of my bag. Frugal, delicious, and healthy with last night's leftover green beans, dried cranberries, turkey, cukes, and romaine. More cold walks to the free parking today, but it's probably pretty good exercise.

I cashed $25 out of Swagbucks which went into the Big Goal Fund--bringing it over $6125.

My daughter's roommates this summer ate out for nearly all their meals. She was shocked and couldn't believe how much they were spending...sometimes it was delivered!

And $7 to $10 is pretty cheap for a lunch out anymore!

I think they eat Taco Bell or --as CCF says, get Noodles delivered. Very pleased with my coffee from home taken to today's meeting. I do think it will add up.

I'm always shocked at folks who eat out every day. We have a friend who he and his wife eat out every day, and sometimes twice. He's justifies it by saying they eat at fast food establishments. Then in the next sentence he complains about all his health ailments. I realize people get sick through no fault of their own, but a lot of his illnesses are food related...he would eat doughnuts every day and then complain when the doctor said his sugar was too high.
